Remarkably uniform, slightly flattened, red globes reaching 3.5"-4" in diameter. These onions hold well in the garden and are also great for storage lasting up to 6 months! Strong resistance to sunscald and a high percentage of bulbs are single centered. "Monastrell" is a late season, intermediate-day onion which grows best in latitudes 32-42.
When to Sow Outside: 4 to 6 weeks before your average last frost date, or as soon as soil can be worked; when soil temperature is at least 45°F.
