The Story
The always interesting foliage of Dragon's Blood changes color along with the seasons. Small succulent leaves emerge dark red in spring, changing to dark green suffused with purplish bronze in summer, then back to red in fall! Clusters of starry deep pinkish red flowers create a solid carpet of color June through July. This vigorous grower is excellent in the rock garden or in sunny spots as small-scale groundcover. Although the foliage is semi-evergreen, its best to trim the stems back in spring. Drought tolerant once established.
