The Story
Not your typical spikey-flowered Veronica, Waterperry Blue is a low, spreading creeper with dainty pale blue flowers. Ideal in the rock garden, spilling over the edge of containers and as a small-scale groundcover. Small, shiny round leaves on trailing stems emerge burgundy, changing to dark green with a burgundy tint in summer. In late April and May pale lilac blue flowers striped with dark purple bloom in clusters just above the leaves. May bloom intermittently over the summer, too. Needs well-drained soil in order to thrive, so avoid soggy areas.
